Furnish all labor, equipment, and materials to remove an existing 2,400-gallon sub-base above ground diesel fuel tank supporting an existing generator and replace with 1,200-gallon double wall sub-base/pedestal above ground diesel fuel tank supporting the existing generator at the Utility Field Operations Facility, remove and legally dispose of the existing 2,400-gallon sub-base above ground diesel fuel tank & the existing 2,400 gallons of deteriorated diesel fuel. Work will also include the temporary removal the existing generator including disconnection of electrical, instrumentation and fuel lines and reinstallation of the generator on the new sub-base/pedestal and reconnection of electrical, instrumentation and fuel lines and obtain permits that are required. ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS/RESPONDENTS ARE HEREBY CAUTIONED NOT TO CONTACT ANY MEMBER OF THE TOWN OF JUPITER STAFF OR OFFICIALS OTHER THAN THE SPECIFIED CONTACT PERSON. Clarification and changes to the Project Documents will occur by addendum through online Sealed quotes will only be accepted at the Town Clerks Department, 210 Military Trail, Jupiter, Florida 33458 at which time and place all quotes received will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Community Room #108, adjacent to Town Council Chambers. Sealed quotes shall be submitted to the Town Clerk, on paper and in electronic format The face of the sealed envelope shall be addressed as follows: Town Clerk, Town of Jupiter 210 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458 July 30, 2024 at 2:15 PM Generator Fuel Tank Replacement (WS2431) 1. Applying for and obtaining all the necessary Town of Jupiter Building Department (TOJ), Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and Palm Beach County Department of Environmental Resource Management (PBCERM) Permits. Bidder is responsible to obtain all permits required to perform the Work. 2. Removal and proper disposal of approximately 2,400 gallons of deteriorated diesel fuel from existing 2,400-gallon sub-base/pedestal above ground tank at the Utility Field Operations Facility. The 2,400- gallon tank and fuel is to be removed and legally disposed of off-site after tank has been cleaned in accordance with FDEP and PBCERM Closure Permitting requirement by the bidder. 3. The Bidder is responsible for the removal of existing diesel fuel by transporting and disposing of biohazardous wastes produced during the cleaning and demolition process of the existing fuel tank. Bidder shall provide Owner with manifest tickets for disposal. 4. The existing 2,400-gallon tank's reinforced concrete pad, block walls, and air conditioning units adjacent to the tank must be protected at all times during construction. The Bidder is responsible for repair and replacement of any damages to the existing concrete pad, block walls and air conditioning units during demolishing, removal and disposal of the existing 2,400-gallon tank. 5. The existing electrical panels, junction boxes, wirings, communication wiring and sensors must always be protected during the removal of the existing 2,400-gallon tank and may be used to connect to a new 1,200-gallon diesel fuel tank pending the tank's manufacturer recommendation. Any new required installation of electrical panels with breaker, junction boxes,electricalwirings, communication wirings, and sensors for a new 1,200-gallon diesel fuel tank need to be included in the pricing. 6. The new 1,200-gallon double wall sub-base/pedestal above ground fireguard diesel fuel tank should be a rectangular and vertical steel tank welded on two (2) saddles with an inner-primary and outersecondary tank. The tank should be a minimum of 1/4 " steel thickness for the shell and heads of both inner and outer tanks, filled with 6" thick lightweight monolithic thermal material insulation (between primary and secondary tank) per standard specifications of UL2085, UL142, UL567 and NFPA 30. It should also have leak detection, level control and other accessories, aluminum platform and aluminum side mount ladder from the stair base slab to the top of the tank. It should include aluminum stairs, 6061 aluminum alloy handrails, grating and appurtenances.
