Design-New Sheep, Goat, and Swine Barn Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agri-Center. Project Background & Description: The idea for the Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agricenter (GNFA) came about after visiting the Junior Hog Market Show in Macon in 1983. Representative Larry Walker felt the agricultural youth of Georgia deserved better facilities to show their livestock projects. August 27 th , 2024 2:00 PM Deadline for written questions The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission (GSFIC), as Owner, on behalf the Georgia Agricultural Exposition Authority (Using Agency or ''GAE''), is seeking firms interested in providing Design Professional Services for a project known as Project No. GAE-025 New Sheep, Goat, and Swine Barn at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter. The selection process and requested deliverables being used for this solicitation have been significantly modified from the process firms may be accustomed to on previous GSFIC projects. Firms are encouraged to review the RFQ/RFP document thoroughly. The goal of this project is to meet the growing needs by constructing one building with approximately 55,000 square feet under cover. Ideal dimensions are approximately 125' x 440' clear span. It is envisioned that this barn will be divided into a barn/livestock holding area with stalls for sheep, goats, and swine as well as a show arena with new covered walkways to connect to existing Goat and Swine Barns and Arena. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The Owner reserves the right to waive non-compliance with any requirements of this RFQ I and to reject any or all Statements of Qualifications or Proposals submitted in response. Upon receipt and review of responses, the Owner will determine the party(s) and proposal that in the sole judgment of the Owner is in the best interest of the Owner (if any is so determined), with respect to the evaluation criteria stated herein.
