The City of Fairfax ("city") is soliciting proposals from qualified firms ("Consultants") to provide technical assistance and analysis for its residential and commercial solid waste operations. PURPOSE: The City of Fairfax ("city") is soliciting proposals from qualified firms ("Consultants") to provide technical assistance and analysis for its residential and commercial solid waste operations as further described herein. The overarching goal is to improve equity, efficiency, sustainability, and levels of services provided to the community while enhancing the long-term operational resiliency of the City's solid waste programs and services. CONTRACT TERM AND RENEWAL: The contract term will be one year from date of award. The City reserves the right to renew the contract for four additional one-year periods based on satisfactory contractor performance and if agreeable to all parties. Automatic contract renewals are prohibited. Contract renewals must be authorized by and coordinated by the City's Purchasing Agent. Questions: Submit questions no later than October 17, 2024 to Ron Hull at: ron.hull@fairfaxva.gov. Period of Contract: One Year - Renewable. TESTING AND INSPECTION: The City reserves the right to conduct any test/inspection it may deem advisable to assure goods and services conform to the specifications.
