The City of Davenport, Iowa invites firms to submit qualifications for consideration to perform engineering services for the development of plans and specifications for the bidding of the West Central Park from Fairmount St to Lincoln Avenue roadway reconstruction project. The existing four-lane PCC roadway is anticipated to remain as four-lanes and is about 0.9 miles in length. BACKGROUND This project is intended to include reconstruction of West Central Park from Fairmount St. to Lincoln Avenue. This existing four-lane PCC roadway is anticipated to remain as four-lanes and is about 0.9 miles in length. Throughout the length of the project, most of the pavement is in poor condition based upon the most recent PCI testing. Design is anticipated to include removal of the existing pavement and subbase and reconstruction of the pavement system including the addition of subdrain. Associated design should include ADA improvements as well as limited improvements to storm and sanitary sewer pipes within the project limits. This segment of roadway serves a peak of about 7,000 vehicles per day (2014 count). Questions regarding the requested services shall be submitted through the City of Davenport electronic submission system under the "Questions" tab of the RFQ at: online by Thursday, October 3, 2024 @ 9:00 AM CT. Answers to questions, if any, will be posted in the same location by Monday, October 7, 2024 @ 9:00 AM CT. It is the vendors responsibility to review the answers provided. TERMINATION OF CONTRACT The City reserves the right to cancel the contract with 30 days written notice if performance of awarded vendor proves unsatisfactory or no longer necessary. CITY'S RIGHTS RESERVED The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals in whole or in part, to waive any irregularities in any proposal, to accept the proposal which, in the judgement of the City is most advantageous to the City and to re-advertise if desired.
