The scope of work shall include, but is not limited to: 1.1 A good, thorough pressure washing of the entire exterior of the buildings to clean all dirt/dust, mildew and accumulated debris. Use appropriate cleaning solutions and follow the manufacturer's instructions for application. Clean all exterior windows and doors after all work has been completed. 1.2 The range of pressure washing shall include but not limited to horizontal, vertical, roofs and overhangs, walls doors, windows, soffits, fascia, awnings, gutters, trim, etc. Pressure washing shall remove all foreign materials to include, mold, mildew, oil grease, adhesives, sand and dirt. 1.3 Windows shall be squeegeed dry to leave a clear streak free finish. 1.4 Sidewalks within ten feet (10') of the building, entrance pads, and the secondfloor exterior porch shall include washing all concrete surfaces and removing mold and dirt using appropriate environmentally friendly cleaners. 1.5 Contractors shall have the technical knowledge to support correct application of pressure, and any chemicals used in the pressure washing and window cleaning processes. 1.6 Contractors will provide all apparatus for safe operation at heights. This will include, but not limited to, ladders scaffolds, man-lifts, rigging, anchor freestanding counterweight systems, ropes, chairs, harnesses, squeegees, etc. 1.7 Do not allow any runoff or disposal to a storm water drainage system. Cover or curb work areas to collect all non-regulated waste\waters for disposal into the sanitary sewage system. 1.8 There shall be no discharges of wastewater to storm water systems, such as storm drains or ditches. 1.9 Contractor shall take necessary precautions to prevent water and/or chemicals from damaging the roof and accessories. Any damage to existing utilities, equipment, finished surfaces resulting from the performance of this contract shall be repaired to the satisfaction of the city of Hinesville at the vendor's expense. 1.10 Brush cleaning and low-pressure cleaning shall be used, if necessary, to avoid damage to building exteriors. 1.11 All chemicals used for the performance of this contract shall be "Green Seal" labeled or equivalent. 1.12 Chemicals used shall be environmentally safe and non-toxic. A list of chemicals to be used shall be provided with this bid. 1.13 All existing structures, utilities, services, roads, trees, shrubbery, and property both public and in which the city has interest shall always be protected against damage or interrupted services by the vendor during the term of this contract; and the vendor shall be held responsible for repairing or replacing property to the satisfaction of the city which is damaged by reason of the vendor's operation on the property. In the event the vendor fails to comply with these requirements, the city reserves the right to secure the required services and charge the costs of such services back to the vendor. 1.14 Chemical cleaners that are used on surfaces in areas of plants and grass shall not be harmful to vegetation. Care shall also be taken to avoid any damage to plants, shrubs and trees by the Contractor's equipment or personnel. 1.15 All unusable materials and debris shall be removed from the premises at the end of each workday and disposed of in an appropriate manner upon final completion, the Contractor shall thoroughly clean up all areas where work has been involved as mutually agreed with the city's project manager. 1.16 The Contractor shall remove surplus material equipment, and debris from the site and leave the site clean and neat. 1.17 All work must be cleaned up prior to the next business day. 1.18 Unless otherwise stated in this solicitation the Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for satisfactory contract performance. 1.19 Contractor to provide proof of insurance Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance with statutory limits, A minimum of $1,000,000, Comprehensive General Liability Insurance per occurrence and a $1,000,000 commercial umbrella policy. 1.20 Contracted work shall occur on the weekend or holiday when the City Hall is closed for business. 1.21 Completion of the following Attachments and Certifications Questions regarding any procedure for submission of a proposal shall be directed to the City of Hinesville website at electronically. Once the bid has been awarded to a vendor, the vendor is expected to perform services within 30 days. The City of Hinesville reserves the right to refuse any and all bids.
