The work covered by the specifications includes furnishing all labor, equipment and the noted material for the remodel of approximately 17,190 square feet of the locker room within the Aurora Police Department. The architect's estimates for the proposed improvements: Base Bid Estimate: $57,000 Each bid must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, an irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, or digital or paper bid bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid, signed by a Surety Company authorized to transact business in the State of Ohio. Such check or bid bond shall be made payable to the City of Aurora, Ohio and will be held as a guarantee that in the event the bid is accepted, and a contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract will be duly executed and its performance properly secured. If not providing a digital bid bond, wet-ink original bid bonds, checks, or letters of credit must be delivered to the Office of the Director of Public Service, Aurora Service Department, 158 W. Pioneer Trail, Aurora, Ohio, by the bid opening date and time. If any person contemplating submitting a BID for the proposed PROGRAM/PROJECT is in doubt as to the meaning of any part of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, they may submit through online a written request for interpretation thereof. In the case of disruption of national communications or loss of services by online within two hours prior to the deadline for submission of bids, the city will delay the deadline for bid submissions to ensure the ability of potential bidders to submit bids. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities in the bids received, and accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City.
