The selected firm will review and confirm prior assumptions regarding DX and chilled water options for air conditioning. The Steinhauer Fieldhouse was originally constructed in 1936 and comprises approximately 35,200 square feet on a single level. The area is served by two air handlers in mechanical mezzanines within the space. The design should be capable of handling the load from an estimated 1,600 occupants. The selected firm will review and confirm prior assumptions regarding DX and chilled water options for air conditioning. Firms with demonstrated relevant experience, including at least two projects of similar size and complexity, are encouraged to apply. Relevant projects should be with local staff. The project delivery method is Design-Bid-Build (DBB). This project is one of two phases. Phase I has a Construction Budget of approximately $1,400,000. Phase II will be funded next fiscal year with a Construction Budget of approximately $820,000. The firm awarded Phase I may be awarded Phase II without further solicitation, at the sole discretion of the Colorado School of Mines.
