A sink hole has been discovered in the City of Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex located at 14469 W. Paradise Ln., Surprise, Arizona. After further investigation, it has been determined that the underground storm water retention system has begun to fail thus causing the sink hole. This project includes the removal of concrete sidewalk, excavation of the existing 96" CMP (Corrugated Metal Pipe) by approximately 136' in length. Replace the existing CMP system with a concrete type of storm water retention system for longevity. Rerouting or reconnecting of all underground utilities, but not limited to plumbing, landscaping, or electrical. After proper backfill and compaction, replace concrete sidewalk, striping, and landscape as needed. Contractor shall be required to furnish non-revocable security binding Contractor to provide faithful performance of the Contract in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price payable to the City of Surprise. Performance security shall be in the form of a performance bond, certified check, or cashier's check. This security must be in the possession of the City of Surprise, Procurement Division within the time specified or ten (10) days after notice of award if no period is specified. If Contractor fails to execute the security document as required, Contractor may be found in default and the Contract terminated by the City. In case of default, the City reserves all rights. Contractor shall be required to furnish non-revocable security for the protection of all persons supplying Goods and/or Services to Contractor or any subcontractor for the performance of any work related to the Contract. Payment security shall be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price and be payable to the City of Surprise. Payment security shall be in the form of a payment bond, certified check, or cashier's check. Anticipated Contract Award: November 1, 2024 Question Deadline 08/29/2024 at 4:00 PM MT Any question related to the Request for Qualifications must be submitted in writing through electronically. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Request for Qualifications, The City expressly reserves the right to: i. Waive any immaterial defect or informality: or ii. Reject any or all SOQs, or portions thereof, or iii. Reissue a Request for Qualifications.
