The deadline to ask questions is 9/27/2024 6:00 PM CST Any questions or clarification the Contractor should have shall be directed to the Engineer no later than five (5) days prior to the bid date. Harris County WCID No. 84 is proposing an expansion from their existing 1.0 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant to a 1.5 MGD. The project includes demolition of existing lift station, digester, chlorine contact chamber, gravel access road, buried sludge drying bed. The project proposes a new digester, chlorine building, chlorine contact chamber, lift station with generator, WWTP generator, concrete access road, tertiary treatment, storm sewer additions including grate inlets and swales, sanitary pipes and manholes. All new additions will need to be connected to existing facility. Various valves, pipes, bends, reducers will be needed. There will be mechanical improvements to the existing RAS pumps, scum pump station with various piping modifications, existing clarifier modifications, chlorination and de-chlorination systems, new blowers and air piping. The main wastewater treatment plant generator will include connecting to existing MCC and all electrical wiring for the new plant improvements. The lift station will include all electrical wiring and connection to its own generator. All debris will need to be disposed of legally and according to the rules by City of Houston, Harris County, and TCEQ. The wastewater treatment plant will be constructed to the standards set by City of Houston, Harris County, and TCEQ.
