SCOPE OF SERVICES: The proposed work shall consist of construction of a booster pump station, to provide separation for new pressure zone from existing main pressure zone and to dissipate pressure surges within the pressure zone. Work shall consist of a new pump station, parking lot, associated piping, installation of a utility transformer and site work modifications. CONTRACT PERIOD: Effective Date of Contract through Completion of Project. Close of written Requests for Additional Information February 14, 2024 Written responses to Requests for Additional Information sent to all February 16, 2024 Contract Start Date Spring 2024 bid bond (Exhibit H), in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of base bid, to the Purchasing Division, prior to the bid closing date and time. Contractor shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful compliance with all requirements of the contract documents and complete fulfillment of the contract, including payment of all labor, material, and other bills made in carrying out this contract. Contractor hereby agrees to complete the work in the base bid described no later than four hundred and fifteen (415) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Contractor shall be substantially complete within three hundred sixty (360) calendar days. Contractor shall agree to allow a deduction of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) per calendar day, from final payment as liquidated damages for each day that completion is delayed beyond said completion date of project established. The City of Columbia reserves the right to reject any or all proposals received in response to this RFP, or to cancel the RFP if it is in the best interest of the City of Columbia to do so.
