The City of Springdale Department of Engineering of Springdale, Arkansas is accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified construction management firms licensed by the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board to provide construction manager/ general contractor (CM/GC) services for a construction manager at-risk (CMAR) / guaranteed maximum (GMP) project for the N. 56th Street Improvements. The project includes reconstruction of approximately 7,100 linear feet of N 56th Street from a two-lane roadway with ditches, to a fourlane divided arterial boulevard. The project begins at the existing roundabout at N 56th Street and Elm Springs Road and extends north to a point 450 feet north of W County Line Road, including a new roundabout at the intersection of N 56th Street and W County Line Road. The project also includes improvements to approximately 1400 linear feet of W County Line Road from 900 feet west of N 56th Street to 500 feet east of N 56th Street. The project includes earthwork, full-depth asphalt pavement, curb and gutter, enclosed storm drainage system, sidewalks, recreational trails, driveways, side streets, street lighting, RRFB signals, pavement markings and signage. Construction may also include a new water distribution main and associated improvements. Temporary surfacing will be necessary to maintain traffic during construction. Under separate contract a 48-inch water transmission main is to be installed along the entire length of the N 56th Street improvement. Heavy coordination with the water transmission main construction is required, therefore experience with water pipeline construction in addition to roadway construction is preferred. When registering as an RFQ holder, construction management firms shall submit primary contact information including name of firm, primary contact, phone number, and physical address. FAILURE TO REGISTER AS AN RFQ HOLDER MAY RESULT IN YOUR SOQ BEING REJECTED. The City encourages all qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises to submit qualifications. The City also encourages all construction managers to subcontract portions of their contract to qualified small, minority, and women business enterprises. The City reserves the right to reject any and all SOQs and to waive any informalities in the submittals deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Springdale.
