The Meadville Area Sewer Authority will receive bids for Collection System Improvements - 2023 Point Repairs Project. The work covered by the Contract Documents includes repairs to the sanitary sewer system at ten (10) locations within and around the City of Meadville. Repairs shall include replacing 8inch through 12inch VCP sewer pipe segments with new PVC pipe. Please Note per Engineer: Clarification with the following items: There is a discrepancy between the Miscellaneous Note 15 on Plan Sheet 2 and the Section 3.02.B. Scope of Work in Specification Section C410 – Bid Form. Since the Bid Items for each point repair are Lump Sum, all pipe and materials required to perform the point repair, regardless of length outlined on the plans, shall be included in the Lump Sum bid price. There shall be no additional pay item(s) to pay for point repairs greater than 10-ft as outlined in Note 15. Point Repair No. 1 located on Blooming Valley Road is located on a State Route. MASA will obtain the required Highway Occupancy Permit (HOP) prior to the start of construction. A copy of the HOP will be provided to the successful bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check or a bid bond in the amount equal to not less than ten (10%) percent of the total base bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the "Instruction for Bidders" section of the specifications. Proposal security shall be made payable to the Meadville Area Sewer Authority. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60days after date of bid opening. This contract is subject to the higher of the Prevailing Wage Rate determinations. A copy of the prevailing wage rates is included in the Contract Documents. The Meadville Area Sewer Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding and to accept the bid serving the best interest of the Meadville Area Sewer Authority.
