The Work Includes but is Not Limited to: A: Rehabilitation of the Existing South Primary Clarifier, Including but Not Limited to: 1) Demolition of Existing Appurtenances, Accessories and Utilities Within the Existing Concrete Clarifier Basin, on Top of the Basin Walls and Adjacent Platforms, on the Exterior Face of the Concrete Walls and in Areas Adjacent to the Clarifier; 2) Construction of a New, Center Feed Clarifier Mechanism Within the Existing Concrete Basin, Including Associated Piping, Weirs, Connections and Structural Modifications; 3) Construction of a New Aluminum Cover For the Existing Concrete Basin; 4) Construction of New Handrails, Pipe Supports and Other Appurtenances on and Adjacent to the Existing Clarifier Basin; 5) Relocation of Existing Utilities on and in the Existing Concrete Clarifier Basin, Including Developing a Utility Relocation Plan for District Review/approval; 6) Constructing a New Protective Coating on the Interior of the Existing Concrete Basin; 7) Making and Testing of New Piping Connections to the Clarifier, Including New Foul Air Connections to the Cover. B: Demolition and Reconstruction of Two Scum/sludge Pump Stations (North and South) Adjacent to the South Primary Clarifier, Including Pumps, Piping, Valves, Electrical and Controls and Appurtenances, Including Developing Installation Plans for District Review/approval. C: Demolition of Two Stop Gates at the Headworks and Construction of Replacement Slide Gates, Including Structural Modifications to the Basin, Protective Coatings Repair, Bypass Pumping Around Impacted Areas of the Headworks and Modifications to the Plank Grating and Supports Above the Basin. D: Construction of New Plank Grating and Supports at the Existing Effluent Box; E: Miscellaneous Demolition of Existing Handrails, Utilities and Supports Adjacent to the South Primary Clarifier and Effluent Box. F: Associated Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Improvements. Estimated Cost of the Work: the Estimated Cost for This Work is: $3 Million Dollars. Contract Time: the Contract Time for the Completion of All the Work of the Project is 360 (Three Hundred Sixty) Calendar Days. Bid Security and Bonds: Each Bid Must Also Be Accompanied by Security in the Form of a Bidders Bond Issued by a Corporate Surety, a Certified Check, or Cashiers Check Payable to the District, or Cash for an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Bidprice. The Successful Bidder Shall Be Required to Execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, Issued by a Corporate Surety, in Conformance With the Requirements Set Forth in the Contract Documents, Each for Not Less Than One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price.
