The Project consists of one (1) Base Bid and one (1) Alternate Bid. The Base Bid consists of sidewalk improvements to Midland Avenue. Work shall also include the installation of concrete curb, concrete aprons, trench drains, construction of ADA-compliant ramps, upgrading inlets with eco curb pieces, as well as other improvements depicted on the Construction Plans. Alternate Bid 'A' consists of work of similar scope to the base bid within the Garfield Housing Authority frontage. All work on this contract must be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Owner and either a bid bond or a certified check drawn to the order of City of Garfield for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid, except that the check shall not exceed $20,000.00. The successful bidder is hereby notified that a performance bond and labor and material (payment) bond for the full amount of this project is required. The right is also reserved to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities where such informality is not detrimental to the best interest of the Owner, except as to those items which are deemed mandatory and non-waivable
