The Shaker Heights City School District intends to contract for construction management services. Services to include 1. Review of all Ludlow to include documentation of all existing conditions. 2. Evaluation of critical building components within Ludlow. Components include building envelope, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and technology systems. 3. Development of physical plant recommendations including improvements to systems described above to meet current educational and building code standards. 4. Preparation of construction estimates. 5. Evaluation of constructability of facilities. 6. Assist in media relations and creating presentation materials. 7. Development of bidding strategy to minimize costs and deliver a quality project. 8. Construct renovations and addition pursuant to the plans and specifications developed by GPD Group. Selection Each firm responding to this RFQ will be evaluated based on its qualifications. After evaluating the responses to this RFQ, Shaker Heights City Schools will select a short list of up to three firms that it considers to be the most qualified around October 24, 2023. Do not submit a fee proposal with the SOQ response. The short-listed firms shall be sent a Request for Proposal ("RFP") that will invite the firms to submit proposals. Interview times of the short-listed firms will be released in the RFP for Friday, November 17, 2023. Deadline 09/29/2023 at 12:00 PM ET. Diversity The district and Community place a high value on diversity and wants a diverse workforce that reflects the community's diversity. As such, each responding firm should include a plan for having a diverse workforce involved in the construction management services.
