**As of October 20, 2023, the award amount is $189,744.69. The project consists of the construction of three timber dune walkovers located at the ends of 8 th Street West, 9 th Street West, and 10 th Street West, St. George Island, Franklin County, Florida. The pile-supported structure is 6-foot wide by 146.5 feet long with an area of approximately 879 square feet. Also included is approximately 5,696 square feet of vegetation and roadside erosion control parking improvements/enhancements between the dune walkover and W. Gorrie Drive. The erosion control parking improvements/enhancements at each location will include grading the soil and installing shell, installing post and rope fencing, and installing wheel stops to prevent forward encroachment onto the dunes. Question Deadline: 09/21/2023 at 4:00 PM ET Any questions must be submitted to Erin Griffith at erin@franklincountyflorida.com Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. The bid security may be either a certified check or a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Florida. Bid security shall be made payable to Franklin County. The successful bidder must be able to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond, and shall begin execution of this contract within five (5) calendar days following the date of the Notice to Proceed. The completion date for this project will be a total of 150 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful Bidder. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in the best interest of Franklin County.
