The City of Bend is accepting sealed bids for contracted snowplowing services within designated residential areas of the City for the 2023-2024 and future winter snow seasons. During the course of the winter season, the Transportation and Mobility Department requires snow removal services from private contractors to supplement the work performed by the Transportation and Mobility Department. There are seven (7) designated residential areas within the City that are the equivalent of approximately 125 lane miles of roadway. Two of these seven areas are included in this Invitation to Bid – areas three and four. The City intends to enter into an agreement(s) to ensure adequate response during heavy or extended snow events. Snowplowing will be performed on an “as needed” basis and will be dependent on the quantity of snowfall encountered during the season. Due to the on-call nature of the service, the City does not guarantee any quantity of work. The contract will be an annual contract with an option to extend year to year for up to four additional years. The City of Bend reserves the right to reject bids not in compliance with public bidding procedures, to postpone award, to waive informalities in the bids, and to select the bid in the best interest of the City.
