Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The City of New Bedford is soliciting sealed bids for the Grape Street Sewer Collector Rehabilitation Project. Bid documents can be found on the City's website under the Purchasing page. Question Deadline 08/07/2023 The work within this project includes, but is not limited to, installation of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) liner for existing gravity sewers ranging in diameter from 8-inch to 36-inch, joint testing and sealing of lateral sewer connections along CIPP-lined sewers, chemical root treatment within 18-inch and 36-inch gravity sewer mains; replacement of a precast concrete sewer manhole, installation of temporary and permanent paving, and maintenance of existing flows. In addition, this project includes manhole rehabilitation, such as cleaning and monolithic lining; installation of flexible chimney seals; sealing active leaks; replacing existing manhole frames and covers; installation of polyethylene inflow prevention inserts; and all other related and incidental work required and as specified for successful completion of the project. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts goals for this project are a minimum of 4.2 percent D/MBE participation and 4.5 percent D/ WBE participation by certified DBEs. The City of New Bedford goals for this project are a minimum of 11.00 percent D/MBE participation and 5.00 percent D/WBE participation by certified DBEs. The higher of the two DBE participation goals shall govern. The City of New Bedford also has minimum goals for employment (workforce utilization) of 18.00% minority and 6.90% female participation
