A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Notice is hereby given that the County of Mohave, Arizona is soliciting competitive bids from qualified firms to establish a contract for the supply and installation of bulletproof glass at the Development Services Building #105 on 3250 Kino Ave in Kingman, Arizona. Respondents are invited to review the information and to submit their response to this IFB in accordance with the criteria established within this IFB. Written questions regarding this IFB must be received by the Procurement Department no later than March 3, 2023 . Questions may then be responded to by written amendment to this document. Oral statements or instructions shall not constitute an amendment to the IFB. Award will be made with reasonable promptness by written notification to the successful bidder(s). The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Mohave County has several public interaction areas that require bullet-resistant protection at the service countertops 3.1. Above-Counter Windows: 3.1.1.Supply and install UL752 Rating 3 glass or equivalent at all the service countertop windows in the lobby areas of the Development Services Building: 3.1.2.New glass must cover entire existing service countertop openings up to a height of 7' from the floor. 3.1.3.COVID Screens: Contractor shall remove existing COVID screens and return them to the County. 3.1.4.Large Windows: Supply and install full pass thru drawers large enough for staff to exchange full sets of plan drawings at the service countertops in the highlighted areas shown in Figure 7 and Figure 8. 3.1.4.1. These large windows may be installed with multiple pieces of connected glass panes using posts, columns, rails, or other connectors if required to reduce cost. 3.1.5.Small Pass Thru Drawers: Supply and install a standard 12" Wide x 10" Deep x 1-9/16" High pass thru tray at all other service countertops suitable for exchanging papers, payments, and other small objects. Pass through drawers may either be placed on top of existing countertop with bullet resistant glass surrounding the tray or cut and sunk into the existing countertop. Supply and install a battery-powered 12v thru-glass two-way electronic communicator at each service countertop suitable for communication between staff and customers. 3.1.6.Bid Item 1 - 1 st Floor Above-Counter Windows: If awarded, work shall include the window areas of the first floor lobby above the counter-tops shown in Exhibit 1 - Figure 1 and Figure 2 and large pass thru in window shown in Figure 7. 3.1.7.Bid Item 3 - 2 nd Floor Above-Counter Windows: If awarded, work shall include the areas of the second floor lobby above the counter-tops shown in Exhibit 1 - Figure 4 and Figure 5 and large pass thru in window shown in Figure 8. 3.2. Below-Counter Windows 3.2.1.Contractor shall provide and install bullet resistant material equivalent to UL752 Rating 3 underneath each window at all the service countertop windows in the lobby, covering the area underneath the counter to the floor, in the areas shown in Figure 3 and Figure 4. This undercounter material is to be installed in front or behind the existing under-counter paneling and does not need to be transparent. If material is installed in front of existing under-counter paneling, it must be painted to match paneling. 3.2.2.Bid Item 2 - 1 st Floor Below-Counter Windows: If awarded, work shall include the window areas of the first floor lobby below the counter-tops shown in Exhibit 1 - Figure 3. 3.2.3.Bid Item 4 - 2 nd Floor Below-Counter Windows: If awarded, work shall include the window areas of the second floor lobby below the counter-tops shown in Exhibit 1 - Figure 6
