The owner has selected a Construction Manager. The Advanced Manufacturing Training Center - AMTC Project will be a +/- 30,000 square foot building located within the current 1,300-acre manufacturing/industrial center in Kingman, AZ. The AMTC will offer curriculum for vocational training as well as manufacturing and industry student training equipment.This project will provide incentive for new businesses to re-locate to Arizona, as well as support state economic growth in manufacturing industries with a high-quality skilled labor pool. The project budget allocation is estimated at 12.5 Million Dollars. This represents the total amount available for project development including: new construction, site work, utilities, furniture and equipment and fees. The construction budget range the architect shall use for planning the facilities is $9 million. This final budget shall not be changed except by written notice from the Director of Facilities Management to the architect. Mohave Community College (MCC) wishes to build a + / - 3 0 , 0 0 0 S Q F T training center on Parcel V-P- C-A, Kingman Industrial Airport Park, Sections 26 & 27, T22N-R16W, G&R Meridian, Mohave County Arizona (see Exhibit A) near the proposed Rancho Sante Fe Interchange of I-11. The AMTC uses envisioned include but are not limited to: Electrical Lab, Manufacturing Lab, Mechanical/Electromechanical Lab, Hydraulics/Pneumatics/PLC/Process Control Lab, HVAC Lab, Robotics Lab, SIM and VR Lab, Instruction/Computer Design lab, Large and Small Classrooms, Conference Space, Pre-Function Space, Reception Area/Lobby, Coffee Shop/Café Space and Kitchen, Career Center/Interview/Testing Rooms, Administrative Offices, Restrooms, Storage Room, and Ancillary/Support Spaces. MCC will not be seeking LEED certification for this project but systems are to be designed to be as energy efficient as is practical and possible. Inclusion of HVAC, Solar, Wind and other systems that will support the building and aid in hands-on training will be advantageous.
