As of October 20, 2023 this project is in design development. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Polk County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida seeks professional architectural and engineering services from an architectural firm for the Fire Rescue Training Facility Select a qualified Architectural firm for all required consulting services for the Polk County Fire Rescue Training Center to be located on Vaughn Road in the Winter Haven FL, area. A&E services are to include, but are not limited to; all required permitting, design and construction of the new training center building structures, site development, storm water systems, utility service engineering, accompanying access entrance drives, surface parking areas, site lighting, general fencing, and landscaping. Questions regarding this RFP must be in writing and must be sent to Carlos Baez, Senior Procurement Analyst, via email at carlosbaez@polk-county.net or fax at (863) 534-6789. All questions must be received by, Wednesday, March 2, 2022, 4:00 p.m. The County reserves the right to add to or delete any item from this proposal or resulting agreements when deemed to be in the best interest of the County. This request does not commit Polk County to award a contract. Proposers will assume all costs incurred in the preparation of their response to this RFP. The County reserves the right to: 1) accept or reject qualifications and/or proposals in part or in whole; 2) request additional qualification information; 3) limit and determine the actual contract services to be included in a contract; 4) obtain information for use in evaluating submittals from any source and 5) reject all submittals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
