The scope of our geotechnical engineering services did not include an environmental assessment for determining the presence or absence of wetlands, or hazardous or toxic materials in the soil, bedrock, surface water, groundwater, or air, on, or below, or around this site. Any statements in this report or on the boringlogs regarding odors, colors, and unusual or suspicious items or conditions are strictly for informational purposes. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Tennessee, in the amount of five percent of the total bid price, as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, the Bidder will enter into a contract and execute the Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and within the time specified. Each bid shall be accompanied by a DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE AFFIDAVIT as required under the provisions of Tennessee Code Annotated 50-9-113. State of Tennessee prevailing Wage Law applies to the work of this contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities therein. In accordance with Tennessee bidding regulations no technical questions will be taken after 4:30 pm local time on September 29, 2023. The work to be done consists generally of the replacement of an existing bridge with a new bridge including but not limited to demolition of the existing bridge, site preparation, pile driving, construct pile caps and abutments, purchase ship and install the bridge, construct approaches to either side of the bridge and stabilize the site. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of five (5%) percent of Bidders maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, or a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraphs 5.01 and 5.02 of the General Conditions.
