outdoor seating area at our school campus. The purpose of the project is to create a dedicated outdoor space where students can sit, eat, and gather. The seating area will feature a perimeter retaining wall with integrated seating, multiple benches, two sets of swinging doors for entry, and a designated spot for an existing trailer BBQ. The surface of the seating area must be replaced with gravel or another easy-to-clean material. A. Retaining Wall with Integrated Seating A retaining wall that encloses the perimeter of the seating area. The wall should be durable, weather-resistant, and suitable for a school environment. The wall should feature integrated seating along the inside perimeter, with tables and benches for students to sit and eat. The seating should be designed to accommodate at least 50 students comfortably at one time. B. Multiple Benches and Tables The design should include multiple benches and seating areas for students to use inside the retaining wall space. Tables should be designed for small groups of students to eat and socialize comfortably. C. Swinging Doors The design should include two sets of swinging doors for entry and exit on opposite sides of the seating area to allow easy access for students and staff. The project is expected to begin in January 2024.
