As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project, Waterline Replacement Project: Cedar Street, Wisteria Street, Rowell Avenue, & Leota Lane, ("Project"), which consists of: 1) mobilization, demobilization, and final clean-up; 2) traffic control, construction signage, and traffic maintenance; 3) constructing 713 linear feet of 6-inch polyvinyl chloride waterline; 4) constructing 115 linear feet of 8-inch polyvinyl chloride waterline; 5) three (3) 6" gate valve installations; 6) four (4) 8" gate valve installations; 7) three (3) air-vac installations; 8) one (1) blow-off installation; 9) 19 water service line replacements; 10) hydrostatic testing and disinfection of domestic water mains and services; 11) highlining water systems; 12) masonry retaining wall construction; 13) 70 square feet of additional roadway replacement; 14) 10 trees trimming; 15) 10 additional potholing for utilities; 16) 50 hours of utility conflict resolution; 17) additional worksite remediation; and 18) all appurtenant work. The waterline is located in the public roadway and as such, coordination with property owner/residents, County Encroachment Permit, and a City Encroachment Permit is required. The expected completion time of the Project is 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The Bid shall be submitted and the work shall be performed by a State of California Class A licensed contractor in strict conformance with Specification No. SV 24-10, and now on file in the City's Department of Public Works and the Office of the City Clerk.
