City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Meyers Chuck Harbor Replacement - Float Procurement Re-Bid project. Base Bid Work consists of all activities necessary to design moorage floats and supply all fabricated moorage float materials and hardware and delivering those materials to the Marine Services Center storage area in Wrangell, Alaska in accordance with the Contract Documents. Additive Alternate work consists of designing additional moorage floats and supplying those materials and hardware and Contractor assembly of the moorage float materials and hardware into complete float modules prior to shipping. The engineers estimate for the Base Bid work is approximately $600,000 and for the combination of Additive Alternates is approximately $345,000. BIDDING, CONTRACT, or TECHNICAL QUESTIONS. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check or certified check made payable to the City and Borough of Wrangell in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price. This serves as a guarantee that the Bidder, if its Bid is accepted, will promptly execute the Agreement. A Bid shall not be considered unless one of the forms of Bidder's security is enclosed with it. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in a Bid, or to make award as it best serves the interests of the OWNER.
