Offeror agrees to furnish all materials and equipment and to perform all labor necessary to install +-11,500 LF of 12'' ductile iron water main, jack and bores, fire hydrants, valves, vaults, fittings, and all related work. Notice to Proceed: February 2025 Date of Substantial Completion: August 2025 Award of Contract: November 2024 Preconstruction Conference: January 2025 Proposals shall be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. All bonds shall be by a surety company licensed in Georgia with an "A" minimum rating of performance and a financial strength of at least five (5) times the contract price as listed in the most current publication of "Best's Key Rating Guide Property Liability". Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price shall be required of the successful offerors if contract is awarded. Each Bond shall be accompanied by a "Power of Attorney" authorizing the attorney-in-fact to bind the surety and certified to include the date of the bond. Time allotted for completion of Work is 180 consecutive calendar days from the date of a written "Notice to Proceed" from OWNER. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Proposals and to reject the Proposal of any Offeror if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Offeror, whether because the Proposal is not responsive or the Offeror is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by the Owner. Owner also reserves the right to issue change orders altering the original scope of work to address changes or unforeseen conditions necessary for the project completion.
