Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The Project consists of providing all materials, labor, tools, skills, and equipment for the construction of approximately 5050 feet of 4-inch polyethylene gas main and 850 feet of 2-inch polyethylene gas service along and within the right of way of SR 11 Bypass and within the property of Social Circle Elementary School near Social Circle Georgia. Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. Each proposal or bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or certified check on a duly organized bank made payable to the City of Social Circle or a bidding bond executed by the bidder, and surety company authorized to transact business in the State of Georgia, in the sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Said check or bond will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder as soon as the contract or contracts have been awarded and to the successful bidder as soon as he has executed the contract or contracts and furnished the necessary bonds, same having been approved by the City's attorney. All bids must be made out on the proposal form furnished in the contract documents, in accordance with the instructions in the Information for Bidders. No interlineations, additions or deletions shall be made in the proposal form by the bidder. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receiving bids for a period of ninety (90) days. Bidders are required to have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License to submit a bid in excess of $100,000.00. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids; to waive formalities; re-advertise; and to reduce or add to the contract from time to time.
