The work consists of replacing the existing hydraulic power unit, testing for asbestos in wiring and lead-based paint, and other appurtenant work as specified and shown on the exhibits. Estimated cost of contract. Metropolitan expects the total cost of construction to range between $70,000 and $95,000. This estimate is intended to serve merely as a guideline of the magnitude of work. Neither the bidders nor the Contractor shall be entitled to claims because of any inaccuracy in the estimated cost range. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All bidders shall have a valid California contractor license, classification A, B, or C-11 at the time of submitting the bid. In addition, the entity performing asbestos abatement shall be either the prime contractor with a California Contractors State License Board issued ASB certification or a subcontractor with a C-22 license. A subcontractor having a different "C" license may perform abatement work if it possesses an ASB certification and the abatement work is associated with said "C" license.
