As of 06/25/2024: The Bid Period is being extended due to the need to change the design of the Fire Station to a one-hour, fire-rated structure (Type 5-A per 2019 CBC Table 601) because of limited water-pressure for the fire protection systems. We anticipate issuing revised drawings on 7/30/24 as Addendum #4, which will also establish: • Bid Deadline • RFI/Substitution Deadline New construction of a single story 9,144 sf fire station with three drive through apparatus bays, lobby, storage rooms, kitchen, dining, day room, 3 restrooms, 6 dorm rooms and a gym. To include site improvements on an undeveloped site of 55,000 sf. SCOPE OF WORK SUMMARY A. Furnish all labor and equipment necessary to perform demolition and site clearing work as shown on drawings and specified herein, including removal of slabs, curbs, walls, partitions, fixtures, finishes, and other items as indicated and required for new construction. B. Protect all existing installations from damage. Take measures to prevent damage to existing facilities and finishes during demolition and construction. C. Carefully remove items which are to remain property of Owner, and store in secure, dry area for later reuse. D. Salvaged Material (not wanted by Owner): Items which the Owner does not want and is of salvable value to Contractor may be removed from structure as work progresses. Owner and CBC 2016 require a minimum of 50% (by weight) of all non-hazardous construction materials be recycled, composted and/or salvaged. Question Deadline 06/18/2024 at 5:00 PM PT
