Bids will be considered only if submitted for all the work required for the above project. The work is defined in Section 01110 - Summary of Work, and includes but is not limited to the following principal features: 1. Demolish existing north abutment, notch structure portion of the weir, south abutment, and energy dissipation basin. 2. Construct concrete abutments and retaining walls. 3. Install helical piles to support the new energy dissipation basin. 4. Construct energy dissipation basin concrete slab and fish collection basin. 5. Repair and grout existing cracks of concrete weir surface. 6. Construct pile foundations of gate structure and walls. 7. Construct fish passage notch structure with a bottom hinged gate. 8. Excavate and construct concrete connection channel between the Sacramento River and the gated notch structure. 9. Place rock slope protection. 10. Structural grouting of rock slope protection. 11. Construct concrete maintenance road for access to connection channel. 12. Construct concrete equipment pad. 13. Construct Control Building. 14. Install security fencing and gates around control building. 15. Install water tank for fire suppression at control building. 16. Construct paved asphalt road for control building and equipment pad access. 17. Install electrical, mechanical, communications, and controls systems. 18. Replace existing river gauge station. 19. Install instrumentations. 20. Relocate existing utility poles. LICENSING Bidders shall be licensed for the work as required by the Business and Professions Code. Contractor's license classification(s) for this work: A (Determined by Contractors' State License Board). Participation by Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) and qualification for Small Business Preference shall be as provided by Document 00206 - Instructions for DVBE Goal and Incentive and Document 00201 - Instructions for Small Business Preference. A DVBE incentive will be applied during bid evaluation in accordance with Document 00206, Paragraph 2 - DVBE Incentive. In addition, the Department has set a 25 percent Small Business Enterprise (SBE) participation goal in its contracting and is tracking Small Business participation in its contracts. The Department encourages bidders to explore certification as a Small Business and/or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise and to utilize certified Small Business and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises during the contract term. Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) registration and prevailing wage monitoring and enforcement shall comply with Document 00703 - Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations. Prevailing Wage Rate Determinations rates are on file for inspection at the office of the Department of Water Resources, Contract Coordination Section, 715 P Street, Room 4-407, Sacramento, California 95814 and posted on the website listed on Document 00300 - Information Available.
