An acceptable brand name is 3M or equivalent. The brand name specified is to establish a standard of quality only, not to limit or exclude other products. If not bidding 3M, list any variations to the product specifications to be considered for approval by the School Board. Attach complete specifications and/or descriptive literature, installation and maintenance instructions, and samples for the window film that you are bidding. Submit three (3) samples, minimum of 8"x11" in size. Successful bidder shall furnish all materials, labor, supervision and equipment necessary for the removal and disposal of any old film and the installation of a new window film. The guidelines established in this specification are to be considered minimum acceptable standards for installing window film. It is the responsibility of the successful bidder to review the plans, locations, and project specifications where the window film is to be installed. The successful bidder shall remove and dispose of all existing window film in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Following the removal of old window film, and prior to the application of new window film, the installation must be inspected. In the event that there are irregularities, Bidder shall provide the School Board's authorized representative(s) a written report detailing the extent of the irregularity and a recommendation for repair and resurfacing shall not commence without prior authorization from the School Board's authorized representative(s).
