Intent: The intent of this solicitation is to select a successful Bidder (Contractor) to provide for Bridge Maintenance for Bridge 924038: Kings Highway over Partin Canal. Bridge Maintenance: Kings Highway over Partin Canal 1. Background: 924038 is the bridge known as "Kings Highway over Partin Canal". This bridge is inspected by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) every two (2) years. Utilizing the inspection report and additional reviews, the set of plans was created to address maintenance issues. 2. Scope of Work: This project will consist of asphalt, joint repairs, channel excavation, rip-rap, bedding stone, guardrail, and other miscellaneous work. Please refer to the Plans that have been uploaded to the Procurement Services SharePoint Online site, which may be accessed through the link reflected on page two (2) of this ITB Document. NOTE: A Right of Way permit will not be required for this project. If a dewatering permit is required, that will be the responsibility of the contractor. Payment and Performance Bonds: The successful bidder shall furnish a performance bond and payment bond, equaling one hundred percent (100%) of the total amount awarded under this project, as security for the good faith performance of this project and for the payment of all persons performing labor and supplying materials on the project and furnishing materials in connection with the project. The bonds shall be written by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Florida and shall be in a form satisfactory to the County. Receipt of said Performance and Payment Bond shall occur no later than ten (10) days after award of this project. No commencement of work shall be authorized by the County without receipt of the Performance and Payment Bond. The Project shall be substantially completed (complete with only final punch list items remaining) in one-hundred eighty (180) consecutive calendar days from the notice to proceed. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids received in accordance with Section 3.4-5 of the Procurement Code.
