**As of September 25 , 2024 , this project has been cancelled due to no bids received and no plan to rebid. Description of Work: Includes restriping UCSC main campus streets, including center and edge lines, bike lanes on main streets, refreshment of most crosswalks, pavement markings, intersection stop legends with limit lines and speed bumps. Bidders may be required to submit qualifications with their bids as set forth in the Supplementary Instructions to Bidders. Requests for clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall be received no later than 5:00 PM on August 9, 2024 and addressed only to: Alex Yasbek ayasbek@ucsc.edu The successful Bidder will be required to have the following California current and active contractor's license at the time of submission of the Bid: CSLB Lic. C32 Parking and Highway Improvement Contractor. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage ($15 per hour) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements. Estimated construction cost: $414,823 (Base Bid). Scope of Work: 1. 2. 3. 4. Base Bid: Includes restriping UCSC main campus streets, including center and edge lines, bike lanes on main streets, refreshment of most crosswalks, pavement markings, intersection stop legends with limit lines and speed bumps. All work to be performed in accordance with drawings prepared by Bowman and Williams, dated December 5, 2023. Alternate 01: includes restriping of centerlines and fog lines, crosswalks, stop bars and other pavement markings located at the Coast Science Campus as indicated on drawings. Alternate 02: includes installing two hundred and sixty new sharrow markings at various locations at UCSC main campus. The work to be done includes all labor, tools and equipment necessary to furnish and install all materials and equipment shown on the drawings and described herein and to perform tests described herein, to provide complete and operating systems to the extent specified and shown on the drawings. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, material and supplies, except where specifically noted as existing or supplied by The University. Location of Work: University of California Santa Cruz, California Campus, throughout Main Residential Campus and Coastal Science Campus.
