Minority-Owned, Woman-Owned, and Small Business Enterprises are encouraged to respond to this solicitation. Resurface four (4) asphalt tennis courts, in one battery, measuring 205' x 120'. Pressure clean to remove mildew and flood entire surface; patch low areas greater than +/- 1/8" and cracks wider than +/- 1/16"; apply 1 coat of Laykold's Basecoat, an acrylic based emulsion blended with fibers and fillers, and mixed with Portland cement and sand, to use for smoothing rough pavements and filling in cracks, cover with fiberglass membrane and tack down with 1 coat of NuSurf G2 acrylic resurfacer; apply 4 coat acrylic color system, including 2 coats of Laykold acrylic resurfacer, 2 coats of Tropicoat(R) acrylic court paint and playing lines to USTA specifications. Replace four (4) pair of rusted net posts on all of the courts by saw cutting the existing posts at the base, core drilling and setting new PVC sleeves into hardrock; furnish and install four (4) pair of NeverRust all-aluminum net posts, furnish and install four (4) new Six Star II nets with center straps, and anchor mates with locking bands. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Base Bid must accompany the Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders The number of days in which the Work is to be completed is 150 consecutive calendar days from the date of issuance of the Notice to Proceed for substantial completion, and 30 calendar days for final completion.
