A certificate from a surety company will be required to be submitted with the bid as per N.J.S.A 18A:64A-25.17 as amended stating that it will provide the Performance/Payment bond required by the bid documents if the bidder is awarded the total bid or any part thereof. Questions Due Date: Aug 26th 2024, 4:00 PM EDT The surety company must indicate in its certificate that is licensed to transact business in the State of New Jersey. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance/Payment bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Owner from any and all proceedings, suites or actions of any kind, name or description and conditional for the faithful performance of the work and as security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials in connection with the contract. Each bidder shall submit with his bid and affidavit showing prequalification in accordance with the standards by the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction. The prequalification standards are accepted as meeting the minimum requirements of prequalification certification by the above State Agency for bidders. Each bidder shall therefore attach to their bid the prequalification certification from the above referenced State Agency which must be active on the date of acceptance of these bids. Failure to do so will be cause to reject the bid as being non-responsive. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 and N.J.A.C. 17:27. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to select any combination of bids or to award the contract in part or whole and to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids in accordance with applicable law.
