The City reserves the right to reject all Proposals or any Proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bid Documents. 1. Remove all Christmas light hangers including all adhesive residue and mechanical anchors in or on stone, cast stone or mortar. Patch all remaining voids with matching stone patching materials as per attached Stone Patching Specifications. 2. After discussing with the City and receiving approval, remove all anchors, pipes etc. not serving any current use. Patch remaining voids with stone patching materials as per attached Stone Patching Specifications. 3. Thoroughly clean all exterior stone as per attached Stone Cleaning Specifications. In addition to removing general soiling, carbon deposits and all other contaminants, remove all mortar smears off the face of stones from previous repointing campaigns. 4. Re-point mortar joints as per attached Stone Repointing Specifications. New repointing mortar should closely match the color, texture and shape of the contiguous sound mortar within a 5 foot radius of the areas being repointed. Special attention should be given to: a. the vertical 90 inside corners mortar joints between the pilasters as well as all other similar vertical inside corners. b. The mortar joints surrounding all window sill stones , arches and pilaster capstones. 5. Re-point all mortar joints between and below all parapet wall cap stones as per attached Stone Repointing Specifications. 6. Remove and reset any loose, dislodged or unstable parapet wall cap stones as per attached Specification for Removing & Resetting Stone, and Replacing Missing Stones. 7. Repair all cracked stone and cast stone as per the attached Stone Crack Injection Grout Specifications. 8. Do not remove or repoint non original repointing mortar that aesthetically matches well and is in sound condition. 9. Repair the major chips in the stones as per attached Stone Patching Specifications. 10. Apply penetrating and breathable water repellent to all exterior masonry as per attached Stone Water Repellent Specifications.
