The project consists of repair and rehabilitation of the exterior concrete of two drinking water storage reservoirs. - Rehabilitation of Concrete Water Storage Reservoir #2 - Rehabilitation of Concrete Water Storage Reservoir #3 - Apply Stucco to Wall of Concrete Water Storage Reservoir #3 - Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment required to complete the rehabilitation of two concrete reservoirs. The reservoirs are referred to as Reservoir #2 (Hill) and Reservoir #3 (North). Reservoir #2 (Hill) is a prestressed concrete tank with a cast in place free span dome roof with a prestressed dome tension ring 124'-0" Diameter. Reservoir #3 (North) is a girder supported prestressed concrete flat slab roof reservoir with a diameter of 130'-6". The City reserves the right to reject all proposals or any proposal not conforming to the intent and purpose of the bid documents. Tank 2 (Hill Tank) - Bid Item 1 1. Remove loose and deteriorated concrete from the dome roof using Section 02 41 00 and 02 41 19. 2. Repair low areas in the roof as a result of the deteriorated concrete removal using repair mortar system specified in Section 03 01 30.71. 3. Prepare all existing exterior roof surfaces by coating with 3/4 " thick coat of polymer modified two component repair mortar. 4. Remove loose and deteriorated concrete along the perimeter dome tension ring using demolition in Section 02 41 00. 5. Inject cracks larger than 3/32 inches wide with epoxy injection grout specified in Section 03 01 30.71. 6. Fill cracks smaller than 3/32 inches with elastomeric sealant specified in Section 07 92 31. 7. Remove loose and deteriorated concrete along the perimeter dome tension ring using demolition in Section 02 41 00. 8. Clean exterior wall surface by Pressure washing the surface using high-pressure water delivered by a pump that produces at least 4000 PSI at the nozzle. High-pressure wash the surface to remove all traces of discoloration and any loose mortar coating or surface material. Do not remove any sound material during washing. Tank 3 (North Tank) - Bid Item 2 1 Remove loose and deteriorated concrete along the perimeter curb using demolition in Section 02 41 00. 2 Construct new concrete curb on the edge of the existing roof using a combination of Specialty Placed Concrete (Section 03 37 00) and Rehabilitation of Cast in Place Concrete (Section 03 01 30.71). Use Section 03 37 00 for work where the curb being repaired requires over 60 percent replacement of the curb section. Use 03 01 30.71 where the curb can be repaired by replacing not more than 40 percent of the curb section. Where the removal of deteriorated concrete exposes corroded steel reinforcement, replace the reinforcement and concrete by constructing reinforced cast in place concrete specified in Section 03 30 53. 3 Repair cracks in the exterior surface of the roof with elastomeric sealant (Section 07 92 13 4 Prepare all existing exterior roof surfaces to receive coatings by removing the deteriorated concrete by Selective Demolition (Section 02 41 19). 5 Apply surface repair mortar to the exterior roof after deteriorated concrete has been removed using Section 03 01 30.71. 6 Apply waterproof coating system to the exterior of the roof using Section (07 92 13). Tank 3 Stucco - Alternate Bid Item 3 1 Remove steel ledge and grind off bolts. 2 Clean and prepare vertical wall surface per manufacturer's recommendations 3 Grind and patch concrete wall, as necessary to produce a smooth finished stucco finish. 4 Apply stucco per Section 09 24 00. 5 Height of stucco will be approximately 82 inches, from existing steel ledge to just below roof
