Scope of Work - Furnish services consisting of all supplies, labor, equipment and materials necessary to perform care of all lawns & landscaped surroundings at the premises listed above. All services shall be performed in a professional manner and in accordance with the generally accepted practice of firms specializing in nursery and landscape services. All services will be performed while adhering to all local, state and federal rules, regulations, policies and guidelines. The lawns and shrubberies will be kept with a well-maintained appearance. GENERAL SPRING CLEAN-UP & PLANT MAINTENANCE Between April 15th and May 30th: Remove all trash, leaves, fallen limbs and other debris from all lawn & bed areas. All turf, walkways & adjacent paved areas (excluding parking lots) shall be cleaned free of salt, sand and any other debris left from winter operations. Plow damage or winter kill to lawn areas or beds will be raked out and reseeded as necessary. All debris will be disposed of by contractor (contractor may use The Hollis Stump Dump for disposal at no charge). All mulched areas will be edged, raked & weeded, removing any foreign materials and excess bark mulch. These areas are to be re-mulched at a uniform depth of 2-3 inches with fine dark brown/black aged natural bark mulch to discourage weed growth and to add color and insulation to the beds in accordance with industry standards. Mulch volcanoes are unacceptable. Border areas will be edged for a professional look. All shrubs & trees that require pruning shall be shaped to a natural form and uniform size. Pruning may also be performed at a later date, depending on the species involved. All dead and broken branches shall be removed from all trees and shrubs to promote a natural healthy appearance. Shrubs and ornamental trees will be fertilized during spring clean-up. All trees and shrubs shall be inspected for pests and disease. RECURRING MAINTENANCE On or about May 1st to October 30th: (these dates are approximate; mowing will begin as soon as the grass reaches a mowable height and will continue until the growing season is over.) Lawn Mowing & Trimming will be performed every five to ten days during heavy growing periods and every seven to fourteen days during dry periods to maintain a minimum 3 1/2 " length to 4 1/2 " maximum height. Lawn clippings shall be mulched back to the soil. Removal of excessive clippings will be included in this service. All mowing will be completed prior to the weekend and holidays to present a clean-finished appearance. All trash, downed limbs etc. will be picked up at each mowing. All walkways and parking areas shall be swept or blown off as needed. All beds will be kept free of weeds & debris and maintained to professional standards throughout the growing season. Any damage to beds caused by natural events will be repaired. Re-application of mulch may be necessary. All grounds will be maintained to professional standards. GENERAL FALL CLEAN-UP No later than November 30th: All leaves and other debris from lawn, beds and shrubs shall be removed to insure a clean neat appearance going into the winter months.
