CDBG Center Avenue Park Restroom Improvements. The bidder (contractor) and all listed subcontractors shall comply with the requirements of the Public Works Contractor Registration Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq. and must submit proof with the bid proposal. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq., contractors on projects for public work shall adhere to all requirements of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act. No firm may be issued a contract unless it complies with the affirmative action provisions N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq. The project involves the installation of an ADA compliant restroom building, sidewalk and parking pad at for Central Avenue Park in the Borough of Atlantic Highlands. Approximate construction quantities include 130 SY of Concrete Sidewalk, 4" and 70 SY of Concrete Pad, 6" thick reinforced, and a 20'x10' prefabricated restroom building with utility connections and foundation. The Borough reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Borough reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Atlantic Highlands reserves the right to reject any or all bids as permitted by statute if in its opinion it is in the best interest of the Borough to do so. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashiers check of not less than ten (10%) percent of the bid or $20,000.00, whichever is less, payable without any conditional endorsement as a guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the bid security as liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon the fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. No interest shall be allowed upon any such certified check or cashiers check.
