Furnish materials and replace existing traffic signal controllers with ATC Type 2 Controllers at ten (10) existing intersections, including the master controller for closed loop system along SR 3222 and SR 0724, video detection cameras to replace existing loop sensors, 2-inch and 3-inch conduit, including trench and backfill, Type III as necessary and signal timing adjustments, including all related appurtenances. The project is being partially funded by the PennDOT Green Light Go Grant. The Proposal for the Traffic Signal Improvements Project shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal. The successful bidder will be required to place a 100% performance, payment and maintenance bond with the Borough within ten (10) days of Notice of Intent to Award. All Proposals shall be effective for sixty (60) days and the project must be completed within ninety (90) calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages shall apply to this contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bonds in the amount of 100% of the total contract amount, said bonds to be that of an approved surety company authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Notice is given that this work is a project constituting public works and is subject to applicable provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended and supplemented, and appropriate prevailing minimum rates as promulgated under provisions of said Act must be paid by contractors in connection with performance of the necessary work.
