The work for this project generally includes replacement of approximately 250 linear feet of 18" sanitary sewer parallel to Tinkers Creek, stream bank stabilization, rehabilitation of four manholes, and replacement of one manhole on SR 91. Work items listed for work locations are approximate only and may need to be adjusted based on field conditions. All other requests for clarification of various contract specifications for this project should be submitted through E-Mail to pjeffers@twinsburg.oh.us no later than four business days prior to the bid opening to be reviewed and responded to. Engineers Base Bid Estimate: $370,000 Begin Project Date: January 22, 2024 Project Completion Date: April 19, 2024 Each bidder shall be required to submit a certified check, a cashiers check on a solvent bank, or a surety bond payable to the City of Twinsburg in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount bid 10 as bid security. The successful bidder must within ten (10) days after he has received notice of the award to him and before entering into contract, furnish bonds on the enclosed forms in amounts equal to the estimated cost of construction or forfeit their Bid Bond per ODOT 103.07. In addition to the standard performance bond enclosed, a maintenance bond, in the amount of 10% of this contract, shall be required of the successful bidder. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than April 19, 2024. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Summit County and the City of Twinsburg, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Bureau of Wage and Hour Administration, 614.644.2239.
