The City of Oxnard invites proposals from qualified contractors to conduct Channel Island Harbor and Waterways Debris Removal & Maintenance Services. 1. Channel cleaning and removal of debris from the surface of the waterways located north of Channel Islands Boulevard. a. Contractor to provide weekly service on any three (3) non-consecutive days to be scheduled between the vendor and the City prior to the start of the agreement. Contractor will provide 6 hours of service a day. The surface areas to service are in the table below b. On service days, removal of surface algae. Surface algae should be removed in a method that will not cause sections of the algae to be left in the water to sink to the bottom and decompose. Contractor shall not chop algae with a boat propeller to aid in removal. c. On service days, visual monitoring of the debris screen and debris booms for functionality, maintenance, and debris removal needs. d. On service days, removal of any and all debris floating on the surface, partially submerged, sunken to the bottom of the channel, or in rip rap, without City support. e. Schedule is to be provided to the Project Manager at the start of the agreement. Schedule changes are to be requested, in writing, to the Project Manager, no less than 48 business hours in advance. The City reserves the right to negotiate final fees with the selected Contractor(s). Proposals must fully describe all costs of charges to the City as part of this service/project. As stated in the Cost Proposal, Proposers must provide fully inclusive blended rates, which are all-encompassing of the Proposer's project-related or supported expenses, including travel expenses. Proposers may also include any other documents as information to further explain the proposed costs. Question Deadline 11/14/2023
