Remove and replace portions of the storm drainage system on the golf course which improves playability and safety for patrons. The existing storm drainage on the course mostly consists of an extensive network on the front nine holes and a large outfall along holes 10 and 11 collecting portions of the adjacent Beverly Hills community. Runoff is conveyed through the front nine holes to the intersection of Fairway Drive and Swannanoa River Road and ultimately discharges to the Swannanoa River. Deadline to Submit Questions Monday, October 30, 2023 3:00 pm All questions concerning this Advertisement for Bids should be submitted via email to: Susannah Horton shorton@ashevillenc.gov Jon Aldridge McAdams aldridge@mcadamsco.com The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All bidders are required to submit cash, a cashier's check, or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid proposal. In lieu of said money, the bidder can submit a bid bond executed by a corporate surety licensed in North Carolina to execute said bonds. The City of Asheville has set an annual aspirational goal of 4.6% for contracts awarded within the construction industry to include Black, Asian, and Native American owned businesses. Although achieving this goal is not a criterion for the award of this Contract, it is expected that documents will reflect that every effort has been made to conduct inclusive outreach to ensure that contractors with existing disparities have an opportunity to participate in contracting with the City of Asheville.
