***As of January 10, 2024. Project has not been awarded yet. We plan to go to Council this Thursday, Jan 11th, to request approval for the award of contract. Reference Number 0000333752 Additional information regarding this project is available by calling the Public Works Department, Engineering Division, at (562) 409-7540 The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals as required by the Plans and Specifications. The general items of work include, but is not limited to, cold milling pavement, asphalt concrete pavement construction, concrete curb reconstruction, signing and striping, slurry sealing, traffic loop detector replacement and other associated work items. The contractor will have twenty-five calendar days to complete the project. The project is anticipated to start construction in January 2024 and be completed by the end of February 2024. The contractor is expected to work on Saturdays and Sundays to meet the project deadline at no additional cost to the CITY. Saturday and Sunday shall be included as part of the calendar working days. No additional working days will be allocated beyond 25 calendar days per these specifications unless approved by the CITY.
