This project is included in the City of Framingham 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 24, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is being allotted to fiscal year 2024. A detailed scope has not yet been released. Stormwater improvements were installed on Union Avenue between 2015 and 2020, and are continuing in 2022 with the Mass DOT TIP project. The downstream drainage system on Henry Street must be replaced to accommodate the upstream capacity of the system. The Henry Street Drainage Improvements includes the installation of approximately 750 of 30" drainage pipe on Henry Street, connecting to the existing culvert located on the railyard property owned and operated by CSX, Inc. before discharging to Farm Pond. Additionally, an off-line Water Quality Unit will be installed to capture roadway contaminants, improving the water quality of Farm Pond (an impaired water body). *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
