Scope: The project features include, but are not limited to, the following: perform revisions to existing proposed design plans, calculations, specifications, and all other appropriate documents of a Solar Power System for the Malibu City Hall that includes vehicle charging station(s) with the ability to charge vehicles at night using an alternate solar power source. The City will provide the Consultant with all readily available design plans, calculations, specifications, and all other appropriate documents for the City Hall Solar Power Project. It will be the responsibility of the Consultant to bring the design plans and all applicable documents into compliance with current codes. The Consultant will also ensure the most up-to-date technology is proposed. At the final stage, the Consultant's licensed professional engineer will sign and stamp the modified plans and assume responsibility for the entire set of drawings, calculations, specifications, and all other appropriate documents for the City Hall Solar Power Project The City of Malibu is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide Engineering Design Services for the City Hall Solar Power Project. The overall objective of this project includes but is not limited to providing a Solar Power System that renders the City Hall as a Zero Net Energy (ZNE) building, significantly reducing the purchased energy and associated operating cost of the Malibu City Hall, providing aesthetically pleasing solar display for public viewing, and providing multiple opportunities for the use of Solar Power such as a vehicle charging stations and device charging stations where appropriate. The project location is 23825 Stuart Ranch Road, Malibu City Hall. Last Day for City to Respond to Questions November 17, 2023 The City reserves the right to amend the Request for Proposal by addendum prior to the final proposal submittal date. The Citys standard professional services agreement is provided in Attachment B. Please note that this contract is a draft and may be modified to reflect certain requirements prior to execution. Depending upon the scope of work, the contract provisions may need to include the California State Prevailing Wages. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
