The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District (County) is seeking Proposals from interested and qualified Proposers to provide on call Apparatus Bay Door repair and maintenance services (Services) throughout the jurisdictional boundaries of the County at the locations provided in Exhibit B and any other locations as needed. More specifically, this RFQ is being released to identify, pre-qualify, and create an authorized list of vendors with corresponding on-call contracts, who will bid on Services at the locations provided in Exhibit B and any other locations as needed as routine maintenance projects or public projects not exceeding $60,000 are scheduled, or as emergencies occur. Vendors are not required to provide all components to participate in this RFQ. Deadline for Submission of Questions October 27, 2023 4:00 pm PST Vendors submitting proposals in response to this RFQ will hereafter be referred to as Proposers. The number of awards will be determined by the quality of the proposals received. All questions will be answered, and both the question and answer will be posted as an Addendum to the RFQ The contract for repair services will require bonds when the work is estimated to be in excess of $25,000. The successful Proposer agrees to execute the required Standard Contract(s) and will furnish a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. These bonds shall be secured from a surety company or companies satisfactory to the County within ten (10) calendar days of the contract award and shall be on County approved bond forms. Bonds shall remain in full force and effect for the term of the Contract. The Performance Bond shall name the County as beneficiary under the bond. Contract Term Services to be provided under this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) are outlined under Section V, Scope of Work. The Contract period will be for a maximum of 3 years beginning on or around November 2023. Date for Tentative Contract Award :November/December 2023 The County reserves the right to request the information described herein from the Proposer selected for Contract award. Failure to provide the information may result in a disqualification from the selection process and no award of Contract to the Proposer.
