The City of Lewiston is accepting sealed proposals for the LEAD and Housing Rehab work at 763 Lisbon St. The work consists of but is not limited to predominantly window work and exterior, as well as front porch replacement with historic restoration and retention. The City reserves the right to negotiate with the low bidder to bring projects down to within budget. The Davis Bacon Act (DBA) requires the payment of prevailing wage rates (which are determined by the U.S. Department of Labor) to all laborers and mechanics on federally funded construction projects in commercial properties in which more than $2,000 of federal funds are being used and in residential properties in which there are more than 7 units. All questions by prospective bidders as to the interpretations of the Notice to Contractors, Forms of the Proposal, Plans, or Specifications must be submitted in writing at least five (5) days before the date herein set for the opening of bids.
