New construction and related sitework to provide a new Fire Headquarters for the Bridgewater Fire Department, Bridgewater, MA. Work includes site clearing and sitework, new utilities, two-story slab-on-grade fire facility / apparatus bays, and a storage outbuilding. Sub Bid Category - Masonry, Misc. Metals, WD&C, Roofing & Flashing, Metal Windows, Glass & Glazing, Ceramic Tile, ACT, Resilient Flooring, Painting, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, & Electrical. Bid Security shall be issued payable to the "Town of Bridgewater" in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the Contract price with a surety company satisfactory to the Awarding Authority. A pre-bid conference will not be conducted. Pre-qualified general contractors and filed subcontractors only. Electronic submissions only. The CONTRACTOR further agrees to achieve Substantial Completion (as defined in AIA Document G704) within EIGHTEEN (18) consecutive months from the date of the Notice to Proceed of the Owner. The CONTRACTOR further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of $1,000 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as provided in the Liquidated Damages Paragraph of Article 8 of the GENERAL CONDITIONS and Section 01 10 00, Paragraph 1.6, Summary of Work. The Town of Bridgewater reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any formalities in its sole discretion
