Contract Execution Contract will be awarded within statutory time frame Project Commences September 30, 2024 Project Completed (Substantial) December 31, 2025 All questions by prospective bidders as to the interpretation to contractor's form of proposal, form of contract, plans, specifications or form of performance bond and labor and materials or payment bond must be submitted in writing to the Procurement Services Office. Oral interpretations given to prospective bidders will have no standing. It shall be the sole responsibility of bidders to ascertain the existence of any and all addenda issued by the awarding authority. Question Deadline Wednesday, October 18, 2023, 12:00 PM EST All bids must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid amount (including alternates, if applicable) in the form of a bond or certified, treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to Bridgewater State University. If a bidder intends to provide a check or cash as their bid deposit, they are asked to contact Maria Pacheco (m10pacheco@bridgew.edu) in advance of the bid opening to schedule an appointment to drop-off the bid deposit. Upon award, the general contractor must submit a 100% payment bond and 100% performance bond. Each general bidder is encouraged to include a schedule of W/MBE utilization commitments in the forms attached as part of its bid proposal, but no later than five (5) business days after award, the general contractor must submit Letter(s) of Intent showing participation from minority owned business entities (MBE) of at least 4.2% of the total contract (including alternates) and women owned business entities (WBE) of at least 8.8% of the total contract (including alternates), in accordance with M.G.L. Chapter 7C, Section 6. If the apparent low bidder has shown due diligence in attempting to meet the participation goals/expectation and has not been successful, the bidder may submit a waiver or reduction request to the University for consideration. The university retains the right to approve or deny any waiver/reduction request. General contractors are encouraged to identify MBE/WBE partners through the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) of the Operational Services Division (OSD).
